Our client, a market leader in the mortgages and savings industry have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mortgage professional to join their Product team, owning and assisting with various projects associated with the product lifecycle i.e. the creation of new proposals, implementation and evaluating product performance.
Main duties will include: -
- Assist the group mortgage product manager with the maintenance and development of the mortgage proposition for the Group’s residential, buy to let and commercial mortgage lending brands.
- Own relationship with the marketing team, regularly engaging with them regarding new product launches, discretionary campaigns and the management of mortgage product collateral.
- Write, and occasionally present, product proposals for senior teams, having fully understood who our customers are and what they expect from the Bank.
- Work closely with the group mortgage operations manager to ensure delivery of approved new products and product updates, adhering to agreed product launch processes when doing so.
- Compliance with the mortgage product governance framework, ensuring activities are aligned to it.
- Coordinate activities supporting customer retention.
- Own and manage product masterlists, ensuring they are up to date and communicated to the wider industry, including sourcing systems and the media when necessary.
The role is focussed on speaking to, chasing and following up information with senior stakeholders and managers, so you must be confident in speaking to people of all levels. The working team based in Fareham is very small (just 2 people) so you will need to be a self-starter and motivator.
You will have previous experience in mortgages, ideally with exposure to commercial/buy 2 let (but this is desirable, not essential) and perhaps some experience with propositions.
