Our client, a well-respected and long established financial services provider based in Nottinghamshire, are recruiting for a Business Analyst as they go through an exciting growth phase.  The main purpose of the role is to apply your analytical skills and implement change across a broad range of key business requirements including:

  • Management Information – collation of disparate information to produce performance dashboards and business insight reports that will inform and influence key business decisions.
  • Process & Systems Enhancement – evaluating existing business processes and systems within the business, working with end users to identify, design, specify, test and implement value adding enhancements. Evaluating business processes and systems elsewhere in the business (as required by the Executive Team) to deliver value added enhancements

To be successful in this role you must have strong Excel skills, with good knowledge of SQL, VBA and Macro writing. This is an excellent opportunity for a positive, customer focussed individual who takes pride in providing an excellent standard of customer service at all times.  It would be ideal for someone with 2-3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst position who is looking to move in to the financial services sector and further their career.  Our client is very stable and profitable, they have not furloughed any members of staff and are experiencing record demand for their products.

Main duties:

  • Perform regular reviews of all Business Management Information and ensure reporting is relevant, accurate and provides clear and concise information
  • Produce timely, relevant and actionable insights, as well as data management that will shape the business and contribute to our wider agenda
  • Provide high quality data analysis, transforming data to manageable, digestible information
  • Implement change in a controlled manner following best practice ensuring that an accurate audit trail is maintained
  • Create complex queries using SQL to extract and validate data to ensure accuracy
  • Supervise testing of computer software 
  • Perform process reviews and propose enhancements to management across all processes
  • Develop ‘subject matter expertise’ for the Core Systems and their integration with other systems across the business
  • Make recommendations on the best methods for analysis and undertake/present change impact, trend and forecasting analysis
  • Anticipate and proactively manage changes to MI with new developments within the business.

 

They are looking for candidates who have at least 2 years’ previous experience in a Business Analysis (or similar) with strong Excel, SQL and VBA skills along with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn.
