Our client is highly customer focussed financial services provider. Owing to a major change project, in their mortgage area they are recruiting for a Business Analyst to support the Project Manager. Whilst our client is based in Mansfield, this role can be undertaken on a hybrid basis although there will be a need to be office based for 1 or 2 days a week.
The Business Analyst will work closely with the Transformation Project team and a range of internal functions, operating between business and technical resources to ensure that proposed process solutions are valid, documented, meet business/ regulatory requirements and to validate they are in place, working and being followed.
Acting under the direction of the Project manager, the role will advise the business on best outcomes for particular business /change problems. To act as a facilitator and support colleagues from across the organisation to resolve issues and put appropriate processes in place. The business analyst's primary objective is helping them design, document and embed optimal process solutions.
To meet the demands of the department the role will require a ‘right first time’ attitude, a multi-tasker with a confident approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Track record of undertaking business process improvement and process re-engineering projects
- High quality technical documentation authoring
- Business Analysis experience or necessary aptitude
- Process mapping and verification utilising tools
- Experience in project management principles, practices, techniques and tools including facilitation, organisation and motivation
- Used lean sigma or similar methodologies for process improvement
- Experience in Visio or similar
- Experience of mortgage/savings products, processes and services would be advantageous
- Experience of using modern delivery tools such as Office 365, Jira, Confluence, etc.
Whilst this is a fixed term contract it has the possibility of turning in to a longer term role.
