Our client is an award winning and highly customer focussed financial services provider.  Owing to strong growth and a large data migration project, they are recruiting for a Business Analyst, reporting in to the Head of IT.  Whilst our client is based in Dorset, this role can be undertaken on a hybrid basis with some travel to the office for key meetings.


The Business Analyst works closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and operates between business and technical resources to ensure that proposed solutions are valid, documented and meet the correct business functionality, requirements, industry standards and regulation.


Acting under the direction of the Head Of IT, the role is to advise the business on best outcomes for particular business problems.  Key responsibilities include:


  • To act as a facilitator and support colleagues from across the business to implement initiatives, resolve issues and put appropriate solutions in place.
  • The business analyst's primary objective is helping the business implement solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a change, project or program.
  • To meet the demands of the department the role will require a ‘right first time’ attitude, a multi-tasker with a confident approach with strong stakeholder management skills. 


Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts
  • Proven Business Analysis experience and methodologies used
  • Process mapping and verification utilising tools
  • Experience in project management principles, practices, techniques and tools including facilitation, organisation and motivation
  • Experience of designing the features of an IT system or technology platform
  • Experience of using modern delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc
  • Experience of working with API’s
