Introduction:

 

Our client, a well-respected and long established customer owned (and thus highly customer focussed), financial services provider based in the North West is recruiting a new role to the organisation as they grow and expand: a Business Change Manager.  Your role will be to build a small team and be responsible for the continuous improvement of their customer focussed service through a digitalisation agenda.  Every change you make must have the customer its heart, be it internal or external.

 

The key purpose of the Business Change Manager and your team will be to provide an effective end to end management of system change that benefits customer, risk, compliance and financial outcomes for the business, ensuring the delivery of key activities to schedule.

 

You will manage and maintaining a constructive and collaborative relationship in partnership with the core banking system provider and provide high quality support to Operations in relation to the system.

 

Key responsibilities of the Business Change Manager:

 

  • Assessing the impact of business change on core banking platform
  • Liaising with service provider to discuss improvements, issues and future plans
  • Delivering business requirements that meet customer, risk, compliance and financial outcomes
  • Continually improving the design principles for effective change
  • Demonstrating business readiness over change acceptance and the comprehensive delivery into the operation
  • Making decisions, testing hypotheses and implementing changes within core banking platform
  • Creating and executing robust testing procedures to ensure changes work as intended
  • Evidencing that change has been assessed, designed, approved, delivered and embedded into BAU
  • Creating roll-back/contingency plans
  • Responsibility for new functionality released, attending user groups to ensure operational needs are met within new developments and proactively monitor new functionality being released
  • Providing system support to allow the business to update process maps/manuals as appropriate
