Our client is a highly successful, financial services provider within the Mortgage and Savings space. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to join their sales team, developing relationships with mortgage intermediaries.


Key responsibilities of the Business Development Assistant will include:


  • Attend broker events, roundtables, exhibitions, FBS roadshows and other meetings as appropriate with the Senior Account Director.


  • To develop relationships with key brokers and packagers through attending meetings and events.


  • To attend key packager offices to support their introduction of cases and the processing of them.


  • To be a point of contact for brokers and packagers to resolve any issues arising between the referral of a mortgage case and its completion, liaising with internal departments such as Underwriting, Legal etc as appropriate.


  • To assist with emails, new enquires, ongoing cases and diary management, providing appropriate management information to the Senior Account Director


  • To follow up on unsuccessful referrals from the New Business Team Reps/Business Development Reps to understand the reasons why and implement future improvements and enhance our reputation.


  • Establish relationships with the BDR’s/NBT to ensure information is shared and issues are resolved as required


Skills and Attributes Required:


  • Experience of working in a mortgage lending or servicing role; ability to learn and understand mortgage criteria and lending policies.


  • Excellent relationship-management skills


  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.


  • Able to work unsupervised and take the initiative where required, with pragmatic problem-solving skills.



The role is home based and some travel covering, West Yorkshire, Bradford, Leeds and York, with occasion travel to their Head Office in the South East.

Our client is seeking candidates who have some previous mortgage experience and a desire to get more into sales, there is the potential for progression for the right person. You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
