A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Intermediaries team of an award winning Regional Building Society at an exciting time of its growth and development. They sourced over £300 million in mortgage applications from mortgage brokers throughout England, Wales & Scotland during 2021 and are a key part of assisting the Society to achieve its overall objectives now and in the future.

 

They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident and reliable team player to work in the North and Scotland region.  You must have a clean driving license as you will be required to travel as part of this role.  A car allowance will be provided for you to use in the execution of your duties. 

 

To fulfil the role of the Business Development Manager you will have excellent communication skills and work to support the Business Development team and their mortgage intermediaries.  A background in mortgages would be preferred but training will be provided to the successful candidate.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • To proactively develop introduced mortgage business from a defined geographic area in line with the overall intermediary mortgage plan
  • To achieve agreed business mix, depending on Society needs
  • To develop, regularly review and update a business plan and broker contact strategy for your defined geographic area. 
  • The business plan and contact strategy should be developed in conjunction with the intermediary telephone business development managers and other relevant internal stake holders
  • To maintain full and accurate records of all your activity in your defined geographic area
  • To deliver service standards in line with department plan and Society standards
  • To drive improvement by continually obtaining feedback on their end to end intermediary mortgage offering
  • To develop and maintain an understanding of what is happening in the wider intermediary mortgage market, including with key intermediary mortgage firms and distributors, products, service, technology and regulation
  • To provide market intelligence to appropriate internal stake holders
  • To seek out tactical opportunities to deliver value through market opportunities in product, service and support, feeding the information into the appropriate internal stake holders
