Our client, a leading specialist mortgage lender and savings provider have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Regulatory Reporting Manager.

As a Customer Regulatory Reporting Manager you will manage and oversee a team based in the UK and India to ensure effective and compliant delivery of the Group Customer Regulatory activities relating to the production and submission of annual HMRC / BBA returns, the OECD Common reporting standards (CRS).

A key requirement of the role is to provide ongoing management, process design, and maintenance of these activities, ensuring full compliance to regulation, business SLA’s and customer expectations. 

The role will involve travel to other OSB’s offices in the UK, to India and to third party sites as required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead & manage the Customer Regulatory Reporting Team, located in the UK and India (Bangalore) c6 FTE
  • To clearly understand and deliver on the short- and long-term business needs and capabilities across the Group identifying and promoting best practices and procedures.
  • Develop, enhance and implement the procedures covering Customer Regulatory activities, ensuring process design and controls are fit for purpose, meet business, customer and regulatory expectations
  • To lead and manage the schedule of Customer Regulatory events across the Groups Savings and Mortgages Portfolios, which include but not limited to; Customer Returns to HMRC, Single Customer View Testing and reporting, Monthly and Annual Statement Mailings, the review and management of change to the Group’s Tariff(s) of Fees and Charges, mailing activity associated to the Group’s Annual General Meeting and Operational business continuity planning/testing.
  • Present to senior management effective updates on planned activity, emerging and identified risks on area of responsibility and as required present at OpsCo and other business committees or working groups specifically covering Customer Regulatory activities
  • Implement and work within governance standards, ensuring a robust, risk-based oversight framework is documented, approved and in operation across all areas of responsibilities and regularly reported on and enhanced where needed.
  • Provide effective communication to Operations and business stakeholders ensuring they are informed of planned activity, progress, risk and any necessary corrective actions.
  • Operational risks and issues identified are documented effectively, business owners assigned corrective action plans, status kept up to date and reported timely.
  • Prepare and provide regular reporting / status reports against agreed delivery timelines and actions, clearly documenting progress, risks and issues against the delivery.

 

Experience/qualifications required

  • Previous work experience in line managing and developing employees
  • Previous work experience in a business / data analyst role
  • Excellent understanding of the OECD Common reporting standards (CRS) / Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI)
  • Strong knowledge of HMRC/BBA regulatory returns, FSCS reporting requirements and BACS ISA code of conduct
