Are you friendly, quick to learn and do you enjoy working with customers?  If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join The Newbury team. 

Reporting to the Senior Branch Manager, and working with a small team, your main responsibilities will be to provide an exceptional service to new and existing customers.  This is mostly face to face but also over the telephone and in writing.

Your duties will include assisting our customers with financial transactions and promoting Newbury Building Society, and its products, which are savings and mortgage accounts.

This is a PART TIME role 16.5 hours per week

Working Monday – Wednesday 9am - 3pm

You will normally be expected to work two Saturdays out of four,9.00 am to 12.00 for which you will receive an overtime payment

Essential skills for the role:

Strong communication skills

A desire to provide a consistently high standard of customer service

Some experience of working with customers face to face and by telephone

Working knowledge of Microsoft packages (outlook, word, excel) 

Desirable skills:

  • Administration experience
  • Experience of cash handling
  • Some flexibility to work extra hours during peak business times is beneficial, though not essential
