Customer Support Assistant (Mortgage Team)
Head Office, Newbury
We are looking for a Customer Support Assistant to support our customers (internal and external) and provide a first class service by administering mortgage applications, communicating effectively with customers and administering mortgage accounts effectively and efficiently.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
Mortgage account administration
Communicating effectively with customers
Compliance, in line with regulatory requirements, Codes of Practice and Society procedures
Essential criteria for the role are:
GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English grade C or above (or equivalent)
Experience of resolving telephone queries, and following up calls
Able to communicate clearly and concisely face to face, by telephone and in writing
Self motivated and able to prioritise work to meet service standards
Able to do relevant mathematical calculations
Accuracy & attention to detail
Enthusiastic, positive & cheerful
Takes initiative and makes suggestions for improvements
Supportive of others in a team
Desirable criteria for the role are:
Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience in a similar role in a Bank or Building Society
Able to judge business risks and recognise when to defer decisions
General understanding of the Financial Services industry
This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm)
Salary: Starting salary is £18,245 rising to £20,050 once fully competent, plus benefits
