Role: Data Analyst
Location: Newbury
Hours: This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week.
Salary: Starting at £32,000 and rising to £35,000 based on evidenced performance
Newbury Building Society are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team, reporting to the Core Systems and Data Manager, the purpose of the Data Analyst role is to manage and control the provision of management information to the business, ensuring it is accurate, timely and relevant.
You will be responsible for providing accurate written and verbal analysis of MI, which can be used by the business to monitor performance and risk.
Essential criteria;
• Degree or ‘A’ level qualification
• Experience in managing and analysing data
• A logical and methodical approach
• Ability to problem solve
• IT skills, including excellent knowledge of all Microsoft packages including advanced Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to prioritise to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to analyse and interpret data
• Mathematical / statistical skills
Desirable criteria;
• Mathematical or statistical qualification at ‘A’ level or equivalent standard
• Experience within the financial services industry
• Business Intelligence Tools
