We are looking for someone to join our Finance team, as an Analyst, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate who’s able to work autonomously, and proactively take the lead.

 

The role requires experience of Excel to an advanced level, the successful candidate will be involved in managing large volumes of data and providing process analysis and improvement expertise to support finance teams. Other duties and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing new spreadsheet models to provide management information and satisfy audit requirements
  • Assisting and developing existing critical models by providing deep-dive assessments, to enable a review and development of audit requirements
  • Working with multiple stakeholders across the business to define new business processes and facilitate improvement of existing processes
  • Reviewing and developing finance MI to assist with efficient data extraction to comply with board and regulatory requirements
  • Developing a full knowledge of the finance function, to provide robust key person dependency within the team

 

Essential criteria for the role are:

  • Proven experience in a similar analyst role
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and skills to develop and deliver new processes.
  • Evidence of an organised and results orientated approach to tasks
  • The ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and time pressures
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven problem solving & analytical ability 
  • Willingness to study for a professional accounting qualification

 

Desirable criteria for the role are:

  • Part-qualified accounting qualification
  • Previous experience of working within a financial services or regulated environment

 

This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.
