Role: Finance Assistant – 6 Month FTC

Location: Central London (near Chancery Lane)


Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing financial services company, who are looking for a highly organised and dedicated Finance Assistant for a six-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the finance team with recording, reconciling and reporting financial transactions and responding to ad-hoc financial queries.


Key Responsibilities include;


  • Perform day-to-day finance tasks such as logging and generating invoices, performing reconciliations and reporting to management.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and timely procedures for performing checks on invoices, the accurate input of transactions and preparation of payments to suppliers.
  • Implement procedures for tracking, invoicing and receiving payments.
  • Adhere to the internal controls relevant to the finance function and carry out month end control procedures including reconciliation of debtors, creditors, bank and nominal ledgers.  
  • Assist in the compilation of budgets, cash-flow forecasts and financial reports on monthly and ad-hoc basis.  
  • Provide ad-hoc financial information and analysis as required. 
  • Support with organising internal and external company functions.
  • Ad-hoc support for the executive directors and other members of the management team.


Skills & Experience Required;


  • Previous experience within a professional Finance support role
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills; including excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to cope under pressure and multi-task within a team  
  • Ability to work flexibly where the demands of the role require
