Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

The role has responsibility for working with all departments within the Society, to promote and deliver all management analysis required to support the delivery of all departments’ objectives. On a day-to-day basis the Finance Manager will work with the Head of Finance (HoF) to identify, develop and produce reports suitable for use within the business.  The individual will also be expected to assist with other aspects of the finance function as required.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Supporting the HoF with the production of annual corporate plan, quarterly forecasting process and reporting of same to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Support the development of MI, insight and analysis for the Society
  • Provide business partnering to key stakeholders around the Society
  • Improving the control environment around key finance processes
  • Responsible for maintaining data integrity of the Sage accounting system and ALMIS (forecasting Software and Regulatory Reporting) and overseeing their development
  • Responsible for Summit (core system) testing of Finance related processes and reports.
  • On-going consideration of departmental risks, controls and procedures
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by the HoF

Requirements of the Finance Business Partner

  • Recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Be enthusiastic and motivated to make a difference, thinking creatively to make improvements and resolve challenges.


This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week with a hybrid work pattern - 2 days in office in Buckinghamshire
