The role has responsibility for the efficient production of all management accounting within the Finance Department, together with associated management analysis including the day-to-day supervision, motivation, and development of a team of 3, and supporting the delivery of the departments’ objectives.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

On a day-to-day basis the Finance Manager will work with the Head of Finance to produce management accounts, budgetary control and financial forecasting development, product performance analysis, and financial accounts.

The individual will also be expected to assist with payroll, treasury management and regulatory reporting as required.

Responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts, including all performance dashboards and supporting Board and Alco papers.  You will also support the Head of Finance with the production of annual corporate plan, quarterly forecasting process and monthly reporting of performance and cashflow to the Senior Leadership Team

Support the development of MI, insight and analysis and provide business partnering to key stakeholders around the Society. You will have the insight to Improve the control environment around key finance processes and maintaining data integrity of the Sage accounting system and ALMIS (forecasting Software and Regulatory Reporting) and overseeing their development

Requirements for the Finance Manager role include:

You will be fully aware of the implications of the any regulatory requirements applicable to your role with regards to:

  • The Anti-Bribery and Corruption Act
  • Money Laundering Act 2017
  • Data Protection Act 2018
  • The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (Whistleblowing).

The individual must also have a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and good knowledge of UK GAAP reporting.
