- A fully qualified Accountant with working experience in Financial Services
- Previous experience of managing staff
- Experience of preparing a full set of financial statements
- Budgeting experience and exposure to Balance Sheet reconciliations, P&L’s and Cash Flow
The job itself is working as part of a tight knit team supporting the Finance Director with:
- Overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts.
- Deliver process and control improvements across the Society’s financial reporting
- Initiate and deliver improved financial plans to the FD & executive team
- Improve forecast and budgeting processes and deliver MI to the executive team
- Lead on all aspects of cash management, reconciliations, and performance reporting across the finance division
- Prepare annual plan/budget/model for the Society
- Monthly payroll – working with HR, including pension and PAYE Settlement Agreement with HMRC
- Supporting the ongoing operation and development of accounts system
- Preparing the Annual Accounts including supporting schedules up to the stage ready for audit
- Liaison with auditors re completion of the annual accounts and corporation tax return.
- Manage a team of 2 direct reports (non-qualified)
