Our client is an award winning, independent, customer focussed financial services provider and they are looking to recruit a Financial Controller owing to retirement of the current role holder. As Financial Controller you will be managing the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, ensuring that all transactions are accurately accounted for and accounts are reconciled in a timely manner. You will also be trained over time to take over the Regulatory Reporting (to the PRA) as well as Planning / Forecasting and Modelling work.
Responsibilities include:
- The accurate maintenance of designated General Ledger accounts, including timely and regular reconciliations and analyses
- To produce and submit regulatory returns required by external regulators and validate returns produced outside of Finance which must be submitted within reporting deadlines and “right 1st time”
- To keep up to date and comply with developments in regulatory reporting requirements
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and analyses
- Preparation of the Company’s financial plans, budgets and forecasts
- To take a lead role in the production of published accounts
- Managing internal audit and the year end audit process
- Annual update of the ICAAP, ILAAP & Recovery Plans.
Experience / qualifications required:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA)
- 10 years Accounting Experience preferably with some exposure to Financial Services
- Supervisory experience desirable
- Audit Experience would be an additional benefit
- Strong technical abilities
