The IT & Change Executive role is based within a modern, customer focussed financial services organisation, combining the traditions of a mature organisation with the energy and enthusiasm of a modern, progressive one.  Products are based around specialist mortgages and savings with customer service delivered with a personal touch, at the core of their business.


As a new role to the business as they have grown, the role reports directly in to the CEO and encompasses the development and delivery of IT strategy as well as management of the existing IT systems, i.e.:  business administration systems, desk top services, networks etc.  It also includes the management and oversight of third parties who provide and deliver IT infrastructure on behalf of the lender.


Key responsibilities of the IT & Change Executive:

  • Ongoing maintenance of IT sourcing and application deployment strategies and supporting practices
  • In conjunction with the other Executives in the business, develop IT strategies that support the achievement of the wider business strategies and plans. This will include the transformation to digital services that the business needs to plan and execute
  • Ensure the correct and appropriate IT policies are in place and being applied internally as well as by the chosen providers.  This includes responsibility for oversight of key regulatory requirements in relation to IT, which encompasses outsourced services, resilience and recovery plans. 
  • Provides guidance and advice to the senior management team on matters relating to relevant new technologies for the business.  This role is also one of wider leadership within the business and the job holder is expected to contribute on a wide variety of matters relevant to being a member of the Executive team.


The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience of the development and successful implementation of IT strategies, ideally within financial services or a similar regulated business
  • Experience of managing a relatively small IT team and 3rd party suppliers
  • Broad knowledge of IT including applications, infrastructure and security
  • Experience in the management of Change, in particular moving to a more digital based operating model
  • The ability to work under pressure and remain balanced
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written and to carry out all tasks with honesty and integrity




On offer to the successful candidate is a competitive salary with additional 10% car allowance, pension and bonus.  Our client operates a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office / 2 WFH.  As a key role in the infrastructure of the business you may be required from time to time to be in the office more than this and so would need to be a reasonable commuting distance from Mansfield.
