Every employer is not the same - who you work for and what that environment looks like is the difference between any job and a great job.  At Newbury Building Society, we really do believe we are different, and here is why:

  • We are an independent mutual - owned by the everyday people that save and borrow with us

  • We work hard to enhance the customer experience - believing wholeheartedly in putting the customer first

  • We are committed to ongoing personal development

  • We provide a good work/life balance for employees

  • We are committed to giving back to the community – we support local charity and community projects both with time and financially.

  • We believe in the financial education of the next generation and currently support 20 local schools

  • We are proud to be awarded Best Building society and Best specialist mortgage provider in the Best Bank Awards for 2021.

We have recently relocated to a fantastic new destination head office with a superb working environment. As part of the move, all network and hosting equipment was replaced with state of the art infrastructure. You will be able to add value and have a meaningful impact on our small friendly business as part of the ongoing infrastructure modernisation program, as we continue our transformation from on-premise solutions to cloud hosted services.

Our traditional values mean you can enjoy a good work-life balance with external and internal customers at the heart of all you do.  Within the role you will work with our IT team to provide a first class, professional service.  You will provide expert second and third-line management and support for our on-premise and external technical infrastructure, including network, hosting architecture and cloud services.
