IT Support Engineer

Every employer is not the same and WHO you work for and what that environment looks like is the difference between ANY job and a GREAT job.  At our client, a mid-sized financial services provider, they really do believe they are different with such a focus on their customer and their people.  In order to better serve their customers and support their individual financial needs, they are looking to recruit an additional member to their 2nd line IT support team. 


As the IT Support Engineer, your role will be required to provide 1st/ 2nd line support, provide technical expertise to the business, enabling the high availability of core IT infrastructure. You will be an escalation point for complex support requests, being able to fully understand the problem and resolve within agreed SLAs.  You will also assist in the implementation of change both, strategic and tactical and the business continue to increase capability and move where possible to a cloud based service. 


If all of the above makes you think they could be your great employer, experience required for the role is:

  • Microsoft Azure experience and certification
  • At least 2yrs 1st line support experience and some 2nd line exposure too in a dedicated IT role
  • Experience with Microsoft Desktop and Server Technologies
  • Experience within an ITIL environment would be advantageous as would knowledge of VMWare
