Our client, a successful and growing mortgage and savings specialist, have an exciting opportunity for a Lending Development Manager to join their team.

 

As their Lending Development Manager, you will be managing the Intermediary Business Development Team and Direct mortgage mediation team to meet objectives set within the Society’s business plan.

 

Key responsibilities will include: -

 

  • Deliver the Society’s intermediary distribution plan to ensure the objectives set within the Society’s business plan are met.
  • Oversee and monitor Business Development resource to ensure effective use of resource at all times.
  • Develop an appropriate contact strategy using outlook diary management and monitor to ensure this is being used effectively. 
  • Research, identify, evaluate new markets and make recommendations to the Credit & Markets Management Committee regarding new initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate and on-board new firms/clubs and networks that can help support the Society in meeting the Business Plan objective.
  • Support the Business Development Resource to help them understand and present complex lending enquiries to Head of Lending to obtain a positive lending decision and support Agreement in Principle enquiries.
  • Oversee and monitor direct mediation activity in respect of new business and retention
  • Review department processes to ensure the most effective use of resource at all times.
  • Attend Credit & Markets Management Committee and provide feedback as to market intelligence relating to competitor products, pricing and criteria, recommend change to ensure the Society relevant within the market, including entry into new markets. • Attend Distribution Management Committee to provide an update with regards to the Society’s distribution strategy and recommend changes to ensure the Society remains on course to achieve the business plan objective. • Keep up to date with changes to CRMP and Society policies
  • Develop and communicate staff messages, translating complex information into language understandable for all.

 

Our client requires someone who has strong financial services retailing experience, with up to date knowledge of the UK mortgage market. As this is a leadership role, previous experience of managing a team is essential.
