Role: Management Accountant

Location: Dorset

Our client is an award winning and highly customer focussed financial services provider. They have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their finance team

 

The main purpose of the role is to assist in preparing annual budgets, medium term plans and forecasts in alignment with the Financial Policy and Corporate Plan.

 

Duties will include: -

 

  • Production of financial reporting information for statutory year end accounts
  • Monitoring liquidity and management of liquid asset portfolio
  • Interpreting supervisory guidance and regulations and provision of regulatory information including the ICAAP and the ILAAP
  • Deputise for Head of Finance as appropriate.
  • Product Pricing and Margin management, assistance in formulating pricing policy.
  • Responsibility for maintaining ledger and monitoring of budgets.
  • Production and review of regulatory and statutory reporting and review information provided by others
  • Monitoring liquidity ratios and investment within Society and regulatory limits.
  • Contribution/input to development of financial policy and corporate plan
  • Preparation of financial reports to be included within the year end statutory report and accounts.
  • Maintaining awareness of current financial reporting standards and ensuring that financial reports are compliant.

 

 

This role would suit someone who is looking to grow and progress within a financial services organisation within the finance team. Our client will offer full training.

 

 

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

 

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Good understanding of financial risk in a financial services organisation.
  • Database Management experience
  • Experience of working in or with a small lending institution
  • Knowledge of the administration of payment transfers (e.g., Chaps and Bacs)
