Mortgage Adviser
Our client, a successful and well respected financial services organisation, are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Adviser to join their busy, growing Mortgage team.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying, advising and selling Mortgage and General Insurance products to new and existing customers in line treating customer fairly policy
- Identifying and advising on affiliated products, complying fully with the Mortgage Conduct of Business and Insurance Conduct of Business Rules
- Advising and selling mortgage products to existing customers coming to the end of their initial deal period
- Producing leads for other provider services
- Receiving incoming calls to deal with all leads, internet communications from the general public or existing customers enquiring about mortgages and other business opportunities
- Making outbound calls to customers at the end of their initial deal period or redeeming borrowers with a view to growing retaining business
- Advising customers and provide explanations as necessary and required under the Mortgage Conduct of Business and Insurance Conduct of Business Rules
- Keeping up to date with all protection, mortgage and mortgage related products and any related financial issues, as well as with competitor products so that honest and fair comparisons can be made when requested
- Being self-motivated and proactive in tracking sales targets and figures
- Staying in touch with existing customers to ensure they are happy with their product and to maximise the chance of additional referrals
Skills and experience required:
- CeMap or equivalent qualification
- Comprehensive understanding of mortgage advice regulations (MCOB)
- Minimum of 3 years advised sales experience with history of compliant sales quality
- Mortgage Sales/Advice experience within the Financial Services Sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products
- Good knowledge of mortgage related insurance products and their purpose/relevance
