This is an exciting time to be joining our client, a well-known, highly respected and customer focussed financial services provider. They seek an experienced Mortgage professional to lead the mortgage department, ensuring all applications are processed efficiently and adhering to procedures and guidelines. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, mortgage expert to help shape the team and processing experience.

 

Duties will include:

  • Prepare departmental objectives on an annual basis
  • Responsible for all residential, commercial and development mortgage processing in a timely manner
  • Responsible for ensuring that the mortgage processing procedures are up to date and in accordance with the Lending Policies
  • Deeds management – registration and release of charges monitored and undertaken correctly
  • Ensure department meets its pre-determined targets in a compliant manner
  • Ensure underwriting and processing meets set turnaround times and meets QA standards, first and second line with at least 95% right first time
  • Ensure mortgage processing software is being used effectively and to its full potential
  • Own the Training and Competence Scheme and ensure all staff fully trained and competent
  • Ensure that all members of the Mortgage Department are aware of and understand their roles and are constantly updated of changes in systems and procedures
  • Conduct monthly 121’s, appraisals and recruitment interviews (with Head of Lending/ senior underwriter feedback or attendance)

 

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mortgages, leadership experience and ideally be CeMap qualified.
