Our client is a startup digital lender who is fully authorised by the FCA and backed by a leading European venture capitalist. They are launching to the UK mortgage market in 2019 and are building a digital mortgage lender from the ground up, focused on solving problems, not selling financial products.
We are recruiting an experienced Mortgage Policy Advisor who can write their mortgage advising processes / procedures from scratch. You will be responsible for setting up the processes / systems and getting them ready for launch.
Your key responsibilities
- Full design and implementation of an FCA compliant direct mortgage advisory framework within an agreed timescale
- Setting up all policies / procedures that will enable us to advise customers on their home finance options and support them on their application, from recommendation through to completion
- Handle challenges to your decisions, staying resolute unless new and substantive information is provided
Who we're looking for
- Fully CeMAP qualified mortgage professional with proven track record of leading mortgage advisory teams (at least 5 years’ experience within either in direct sales or a leading brokerage)
- Significant experience of designing and implementing direct mortgage advisory frameworks
- Experience of using a digital platform to originate and manage customer journeys
- A dynamic and forward-thinking approach to building and using a digital platform and the ability to test the “normal boundaries” to conventional mortgage lending processes.
- Be self-motivated and thrive under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and excellent service standards
- Experience of proactively managing a pipeline of work and have high personal standards
- Strong desire to contribute to using technology to transform the mortgage industry
