Role: Part Time Customer Service Adviser

Location: Didcot

Hours: 17 hours per week - Thursday & Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am-12pm

Salary: £9.81 - £10.90 per hour


Are you friendly, quick to learn and do you enjoy working with customers?  If so, Newbury Building Society have a great opportunity for you to join their team. 

Reporting to the Senior Branch Manager, and working with a friendly team, your main responsibilities will be to provide an exceptional service to new and existing customers.  This is mostly face to face but also over the telephone and in writing.

Your duties will include assisting our customers with financial transactions and promoting Newbury Building Society, and its products, which are savings and mortgage accounts.  

In return, we’ll give you all the support and recognition you deserve. You can expect a comprehensive training programme to enable you to get up to speed with our products and services, computer systems and processes. 


Essential criteria for the role are             

  • Strong communication skills
  • A desire to provide a consistently high standard of customer service
  • Experience of working with customers face to face and by telephone
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages (outlook, word, excel)


Desirable criteria for the role are            

  • Administration experience
  • Experience of cash handling
