Introduction

 

Our client is a people focussed fast-growing FinTech looking to create permanent positive change in the finance industry. Their focus is to create innovative, fair, and accessible digital finance products for the UK market. They offer a highly collaborative culture that also champions individual ownership and autonomy.  

 

A bit about the People Manager role: 

 

With an FTE of circa, 75 and established 8 years ago, they are a relatively small but growing and are looking for a values-led People Manager to help them find and keep the right people to make an impact in their business. You will be a creative problem solver invested in the change you can make day-to-day and long-term. They'd also appreciate your help with their goal to elevate everyone in the business, new and long serving, and to evolve the processes around a culture of supporting and celebrating each other, as well as finding opportunities for career development and fulfilment. 

 

About you: 

 

You harness everything about their values and how they operate as a fast moving, creative business. You will want to make a difference in the lives of the people you work with and you're confident in your personal approach to getting that done. You'll need to be able to handle the busy to-do list that comes with HR ops and have the ambition to constantly improve the experience for candidates and the team. We're looking for a real business partner with the ability to work across the entire company, facilitating a diverse set of goals and needs. 

 

Skills and requirements of the People Manager:

 

  • HR professional with proven HR leadership and business partnering experience, likely to be  CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualified
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and take responsibility for day to day detail 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance 
  • Strong communicator who can adapt messages to suit different teams and working styles 
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills 
  • Experience in implementing new initiatives and rolling out new ways of working preferred 
  • Experience in financial services and particularly with the FCA’s Senior Manager and Certification Regime preferred but not essential

 

This is a great opportunity to join a highly collaborative and people / customer focussed business.  They are based near Liverpool St station and whilst there is an established hybrid working pattern in place, as the people leader you will want to be with your people and so circa. 3 days in the office but this is not rigid, some weeks it will be more, some less.
