Every employer is not the same and WHO you work for and what that environment looks like is the difference between ANY job and a GREAT job.  At our client, a mid-sized financial services provider, they really do believe they are different with such a focus on their customer and their people.  In order to better serve their customers and support their individual financial needs, they are looking to recruit an additional member to their project and change team, a Project Management Officer.

As the project management officer (PMO), you will help define and maintain standards for project management within the organisation as they embark on a period of change.  You will provide day-to- day support to the Change Manager and project managers. This will include supporting the following key areas: programme planning, monitoring and reporting, cost and benefit tracking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Change Manager in the areas of governance procedures and routines including programme and milestone planning and monitoring, risk and issue management, progress and status reporting and change control
  • Prepare information to monitor, track and report on the delivery of benefits against the programme business case
  • Help execute detailed implementation plans including detailed schedule of all activities included in the project standards
  • Prepare reports for the Steering Group and programme team meetings
  • Maintain the risk and issue register, change control documentation and monitor progress against cost budgets and planned benefits
  • Monitor programme critical success measures and performance indicators
  • Create project and program schedules and critical path analysis.

If all of the above makes you think they could be your great employer, experience required for the role is:

  • Familiar with project management tools, critical path analysis and budget / forecasting techniques
  • Formal project management qualifications, either complete or currently studying
  • 2yrs+ previous programme office experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and Visio would be advantageous

If you are an experienced and highly customer focussed PMO professional who wants to work for an employer who cares about the their customers and the local community as well as its employees, then apply now.
