Our client is a highly successful and growing provider to the mortgage and savings industry who are looking to recruit a Sales Account Manager which is a newly created critical role. The focus of this role will be on both, new business, as well as managing relationships with existing clients, creating processes and working to foster long-term, successful partnerships. You will be part of the Sales & Marketing team, ensuring optimum client experiences, focusing on client retention as well as building new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
· Become an expert on the company products and the value they can generate for clients
· Learn the solutions in place with each account, how the client uses them and what improvements can be made on both sides
· Build Industry and market knowledge; Research and understand the financial services and technology sectors including individual client business strategies and challenges
· Attend industry events to act as the “face” of the company
· Interface with both internal and external industry experts to anticipate client needs, drive industry mindshare, and facilitate solution development
· Build strong professional working relationships with clients from the ground up to senior levels – with clear map of client stakeholders/organisation
· Demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge in aligning company capabilities to client business and IT priorities, and positioning relative to competitors
· Identify and secure new sales opportunities within designated accounts
· Collaborate on new sales opportunities, assisting with RFI’s and RFP’s to secure net new business
· Develop and convert new sales and build the pipeline
· Build Account Plan that includes both transactional and strategic initiatives to grow the company's presence and share in their accounts
· Orchestrate all company resources and sponsorship essential for executing the account business plan
· Advocate for client needs during life cycle
Key Attributes, Skills and Experience
· Deep understanding of and experience in either the mortgage and savings or core banking platforms – ideally both
· Ideally sector specific experience across Lending and Deposits & understand the challenges and strategy within the sector
· Keeps abreast of industry trends as related to opportunities to create added value for the client
· Applies IT best practices specific to the client's industry
· Proven account management experience, including building and maintaining successful client relationships
· Demonstrates strong presentation and communication skills
· UK travel required 30-50% of the time
