Our client, a well-established and successful specialist retail lending and savings group are looking to recruit a Securities Officer to join the team in Fareham.

The Securities Officer is responsible for the management and oversight of requests from customers and solicitors relating to all complex queries and post completion requests. Ensuring that all requests are assessed and managed in line with agreed service standards, business policy and mandates, ensuring business risks are mitigated.

 

Core Responsibilities include;

  • Responsible for the oversight, processing and reporting of all securities & complex post contract requests i.e. Transfer of Equity, Part Release of Securities and Bridging Extensions received from customers, solicitors and other third parties.
  • Ensure processing activity across the brands are aligned (where possible) and deliver best in class service
  • Ensure that all requests have robust audit trails and customer and internal teams are aware of status and progress of requests.
  • Maintain mandate based on sound judgement and evidence of understanding of core servicing policy and procedures.  Provide clear details of decisions made and reason.
  • Management of breach accounts with recommendations of action required to resolve
  • Make recommendations against Servicing policy and mandates.
  • Continually look for process improvements and trends to improve customer service and business processes.
  • Investigate and respond to complex mortgage servicing enquires raised by the business.
  • Prepare regular status reports around position of complex post contract variations and breach accounts
  • Deputise for Line Manager and conduct ad-hoc duties as outlined by Line Manager

 

Knowledges & Experience required;

 

  • 3 years working within a Financial Services organisation (beneficial but not essential).
  • 2 years working in a Completions and Servicing role is essential
  • 2 years in a mandated position in Completions or Mortgage Servicing is desirable
  • Working knowledge of the GDPR, Anti-Money Laundering, MCOBS, MMR and CML is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel is essential
  • GSCE/GCE qualifications in both maths and English are essential
