Our client, a financial services provider in the mortgage space, is seeking a Product Manager to join their Mortgage Product team, to contribute to the growth and profitability of the business, by ensuring pricing is aligned to key targets. The Mortgage Product and Proposition team designs and launches all the mortgage products offered by our client.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product specialist, to join a growing organisation who rewards their employees with both renumeration and progression. The team is currently small, which allows this role holder to get involved with all their product lines and brands. They are growing rapidly and the opportunities internally are excellent.



Key duties of the Senior Product Designer will include:

  • Be a subject matter expert for the Mortgage Product department on Commercial & Semi Commercial, Bridging Finance, Residential (Core Residential (incl. DMP), Help to Buy, Right to Buy, Shared Ownership), Buy to Let (Core personal ownership, HMO, Limited Company, Limited Company HMO), Second Charge and Retention approaches and pricing
  • As a subject matter expert, continuously maintain up to date knowledge of key competitors, their pricing and lending criteria. Drive out an understanding of key areas of differentiation and their potential impact. Provide support to the business, notably Marketing and Sales, and champion the product design to ensure a successful product launch
  • Request and review appropriate analysis in order to generate insight and understanding, working with internal teams (e.g. MI, Sales) and external contacts to build a clearer view of the market and product performance
  • Proactively manage the product ranges ensuring the pricing for each line is set to hit the business targets. Take a proactive approach in order to optimise pricing and respond early to challenges and opportunities as they develop
  • Design and bring to sign off appropriate changes to product ranges through compelling pricing papers, including liaison with Specialist Finance
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to bring products to market effectively
  • Ensure all product launches are 100% accurate and on time.



Our client is seeking someone with the following:

  • Previous Product Management experience within mortgages
  • Exposure to commercial or bridging would be desirable


If successful, the role holder would be expected to be fully office based for the initial training period (circa 3 months) and once completed, a hybrid approach would be adopted i.e. 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely.
