Our client, a market leader in mortgages and savings, have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control professional to join their team.

 

The Quality Control Assistant will assist the Vendor Control Manager and work with the Vendor Management teams which are based in the UK and India. The role holder will work closely with the assigned Relationship Owners and Accountable Executives to provide support and report on the effectiveness of the compliance and effectively of how they are managing the risks and issues relating to the outsourcing and contractual commitments with third parties.

 

Duties will include: -

  • To provide the business with assurance and oversight of how they are engaging, managing and exiting relationships
  • Review and maintain the overall current quality assurance framework ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and remain relevant reflecting any changes in processes or new processes.
  • Assist in the Implementation of the required Vendor governance standards ensuring a robust risk-based quality assessment oversight framework are in place and reported on.
  • Support and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement to establish best in class processing opportunities through policy, procedural change concerning Vendor Management.
  • Documenting, maintaining and seeking approval on the required policies, procedures and governance standards required across areas of responsibility to ensure they are accurate and provide the right level of detail to support the business needs.
  • Recommend continuous improvement of vendor compliance against policy and procedures.
  • Conducting quality assurance activities including internal and external audit reviews in line with the agreed quality control framework.
  • Streamline and review current quality MI reporting and documentation suggesting ways to introduce reporting and quality results control efficiencies.
  • Support with the annual review of end to end process reviews ensuring updates and sign off key quality documents are conducted in line with agreed work schedule.
  • Ensure that corrective actions, audit and internal issues are appropriate, and that closure is supported by validation and evidence.
  • Formulate required corrective action plans for identified business gaps and process gaps.
  • Work with process owners to formalise Business quality results and reporting ensuring that all controls are documented for testing within the quality assurance framework.
  • Appropriately challenge process controls put in place by process owners to ensure they are achievable and relevant.
  • Maintenance of the Vendor Management risk register and risk acceptance logs.
  • Review the vendor management controls and Relationship owner oversight testing schedule, agreeing and reporting on approved Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.

 

The successful candidate will have: -

  • A wealth of experience in Quality Control
  • Financial Services experience
  • Vendor Management experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Offshore experience is desirable
