Our client, a financial services provider, is seeking a Support Engineer to provide assistance and support in respect of all aspects of personal computers and to assist with the administration of all other computer systems, on a fixed term, 3-month contract.

Reporting into the IT Manager, you will assist in installing and configuring PC Software and Hardware, provide support for all PC related matters and carry out adhoc tasks and back ups as required.

Main duties of the Support Engineer: -

  • To analyse and assist in projects that are PC related.
  • To provide support for PC software and all hardware.
  • To carry out scheduled operational routines as requested
  • To monitor the documentation relating to the configuration of systems and ensure they are updated as required.
  • To liaise with suppliers re the purchasing of consumables and PC hardware and software.

The successful candidate for the Support Engineer will possess:

  • Previous experience in an IT Support role
  • Knowledgeable on IT Systems and Microsoft Packages
  • A qualification in IT would be highly desirable
