Our client is a customer centric, financial services provider in the mortgage and savings space. They are currently seeking a self motivated individual to join their mortgage sales team as a Telephone BDM. In this challenging and varied role, you will be part of a team that is the primary contact for brokers for all new mortgage enquiries including DIP (decisions in principle).
Their head office is based in` Buckinghamshire, however our client offers a hybrid approach to the working week, with their standard model being 3 days office based and 2 working remotely. If successful, they would like more office presence initially for training purposes.
Main duties of the Telephone Business Development Manager will include:
- Be the part of the team that are the primary point of contact for all broker calls regarding new mortgage loan criteria enquiries.
- Be responsible for DIP decisions within the agreed mandate.
- To manage broker relationships to help grow the business from specific brokers.
- To achieve set objectives to grow the mortgage book and deliver agreed business objectives in line with the company strategy.
- To work with the Mortgage Administration and Underwriting teams as requested to ensure that, as a team, all mortgages are processed effectively in a timely manner.
- To support the Key Account/Business Development Manager team in on-going broker relationships and share ideas for the marketing of our proposition to our broker community.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Previous experience within either mortgage processing, underwriting, or more telephone based work such as Mortgage Helpdesk/Broker liaison.
- Excellent relationship management skills
