Trainer & Development Coach- part time

Harpenden

£ 45k pro rated

4 days pr week to suit/ I day in office/ 25 or 28 hours/wk.

Introduction

Our client a medium sized mortgage and savings provider is expanding and seeking a development coach and trainer whose role is to help develop the skills, knowledge and competence of all colleagues through appropriate and timely coaching and training interventions. As the People Team is a small one, the development coach & trainer will be very hands on and is responsible for meeting the administrative requirements of the role too.

Responsibilities of the Trainer & Development Coach

  • Working with managers to identify coaching and training requirements to support our people strategy
  • Designing, delivering, and evaluating training sessions, workshops and courses including line manager programmes at basic and intermediate levels
  • Designing materials, or delivering tools, to enable online & self-supported learning
  • Coaching at all levels except for the Leadership Team
  • Supporting line managers to deliver job specific training to a high standard
  • Designing and delivering HR related knowledge content to managers with the People Business Partner.
  • Managing the Let’s Talk programme aimed at sharing knowledge and raising awareness on varying topics.
  • Overseeing a programme of continuous professional development at all levels
  • Managing the learning programme for apprenticeships and graduates (when we have them)
  • Administration relating to learning, development and coaching. This includes responsibility for overseeing mandatory training, study repayment agreements, training budget requirements, MI, evaluation and reporting for example.

Requirements for the Trainer & Development Coach

  • A coaching, ILM or similar qualified is desirable.
  • Experience in a Financial Services environment is an advantage
  • Proficient user of Microsoft programmes and other software used in the design and presentation of training materials.
