Role: Underwriting Support Consultant

Location: Milton Keynes/Hybrid working  

Salary: £25,000 + benefits

This role would suit someone who is looking to join an organisation that can allow them to develop their career professionally while helping customers obtain loans in a quick and efficient manner. 

They are setting up a new operations office in Milton Keynes, their Head Office remaining in London, so this role will be based out of the new office. You would initially be working from home but once the operations office is opened you would be required to travel and work in there up to 4 days a week.  The team currently work Mon-Fri on a shift pattern between 8 – 6pm

Key Objectives include reducing email response time & increasing customer service effectiveness, achieving exceptional quality audit results via the telephone and via email and ensuring applications are reviewed in a responsible manner providing customers with exceptional service

Responsibilities include, handling inbound calls and conducting outbound calls to support the underwriting assessment, review of loan applications that have referred to the loan underwriting team, typically, this will include the review and checking of bank statements and customer identification documentation

•              Ability to cope under pressure and multi-task within a team

•              Ability to work flexibly where the demands of the role require. 

•              Excellent numerical and analytical skills

•              Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a small team

•              Ability to maintain a high degree of quality and accuracy at an effective speed

•              Previous experience in reviewing documentation such as bank statements or identification would be an advantage 

•              Ability to identify and record vulnerability when interacting with customers.

 

You will be expected to be able to travel to London for the first week or so for training (expenses paid) but training will also be provided on-site.
