Customer Service Specialist

Bromsgrove – 35 hrs per week - 08.45 til 16:15 & Saturdays 09:00 til 12:00 on a rota – with this half day taken in lieu during Monday to Friday.

To £25,250 dependent on experience + excellent benefits & discretionary bonus

 

Our client is a building society who are opening a new branch in Bromsgrove town centre, Worcestershire. Your role is to be responsible for building lasting relationships with new and existing customers, guiding and supporting them through their key life milestones.
 

Key responsibilities of the Customer Service Specialist include:

 

  • Having meaningful conversations with members to understand their needs and match them with the right solutions.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by resolving enquiries and maintaining high satisfaction.
  • Managing till operations and maximising every counter interaction.
  • Supporting customers with account management tasks.
  • Working collaboratively across the Society to deliver strong customer outcomes.
  • Contributing to branch and corporate targets.
  • Using our financial products to support members through key life events.
  • Engaging with local communities, businesses, and partners.

 

Required skills & experiences:

 

  • Experience in a similar face to face customer service role from within the Financial Services sector.
  • Passionate about delivering strong customer solutions.
  • Collaborative and committed to providing excellent service for members.
  • Curious and proactive, confident in exploring data, member needs, and better solutions.
  • Approachable, helpful, and community-focused, always putting members first.
  • Clear and concise communicator across all channels.
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving improvement.
  • Keen to learn and grow, with plenty of opportunities for development.

 

Training: 8-to-12-week duration in the Dudley/Brierley Hill area and travel expenses will be paid for the period of training until the Bromsgrove branch is available for employees to work from in 2026.
