Our client is a local financial services business, and this is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative finance team on a 3–6-month contract.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the FP&A ALMIS contractor will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company’s financial planning and modelling capabilities through ALMIS, supporting budgeting, forecasting, stress testing and prudential assessments. The role helps ensure the company has robust financial models, dependable MI and effective system functionality to enable informed strategic decision-making, meet regulatory obligations and support future transformation initiatives.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing the company’s financial planning and modelling capability, ensuring models, assumptions and outputs are accurate, robust and well controlled.
  • Supporting the delivery of budgets, corporate plans, forecasts, stress testing, sensitivity analysis and prudential assessments to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Acting as a Finance subject matter expert for ALMIS, leading model development, system enhancements, reporting improvements and process automation opportunities.
  • Supporting regulatory and transformation initiatives, including ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Planning, Going Concern assessments and wider Finance system developments.
  • Leading testing, validation and implementation of ALMIS upgrades and Finance system changes, ensuring effective controls, documentation and audit evidence are maintained.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

Essential

  • Proven experience using ALMIS, specifically the Planner module.
  • Significant experience in financial modelling, planning or finance systems within a regulated environment (ideally within a Building Society or financial services organisation).
  • Experience developing and maintaining financial planning, forecasting or balance sheet management models.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis and stress testing processes.
  • Experience of system testing, validation and implementing system or model changes.

Desirable

  • Accountancy, treasury, risk or compliance qualification (or working towards one).
  • Knowledge of PRA/FCA regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations, including ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Planning, ALCO and Board reporting.
