Relationship Manager (Third party)

Are you a strategic, relationship builder, with a background in mortgage lending or managing commercial partnerships? Our customer focussed client is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to build strong relationships with their external lending partners, ensuring all commercial and contractual obligations are upheld.
Working as part of a dedicated team, the Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing both existing and new partnerships, having ownership of performance management, contract renewals and ongoing oversight through internal SME Collaboration.
Duties will include:
- Develop and own senior‑level relationships with our partners, driving alignment on purpose and strategic priorities
- Primary owner of governance and issue escalation with third‑party lenders.
- Ensure funded portfolios meet commercial, contractual, and performance expectations
- Monitor partner economics including pricing structures, revenue shares and funding costs in collaboration with Finance to ensure commercial partnerships remain viable.
- Coordinate and resolve operational or commercial escalations
- Produce performance insights and reports.
The successful individual will possess:
- Previous experience in vendor management, relationship management or portfolio management.
- Industry relevant experience - mortgage lending.
- Experience with contract management and renewals with third parties.
- Stakeholder management and experience working and influencing cross-functionally
- Knowledge of consumer lending markets, third party risk management and commercial management.
Our client’s preference would be for this role holder to be office based in Leicestershire, 2 days per week, however they are open to a more remote working approach with the understanding that office presence would be required a minimum of 3 days per month.
This is very much a relationship building role, so will involve occasional visits to our partners’ sites, including London.
