Every employer is not the same and WHO you work for and what that environment looks like is the difference between ANY job and a GREAT job.  At our client, a relatively small financial services provider, they really do believe they are different with such a focus on their customer and their people.  They are seeking an Assistant Mortgage Supervisor to provide an exceptional level of supervision to the Mortgage Team and daily support to the Mortgage Supervisor.

 

Duties will include:-

 

  • Daily review of incoming mortgage applications via Broker Online system
  • Underwriting and file quality checks of all new mortgage cases including further advances from application through to completion
  • Liaise with valuation panel managers and panel solicitors
  • To evaluate and understand existing processes within the mortgage function and recommend  changes to improve business efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentoring, support and training of the Mortgage Team ensuring that they maintain ongoing competency under the MTCF
  • Review, monitor and take action required on daily/ weekly/ monthly and annual exception reports relating to mortgage accounts as referred by the Mortgage Team
  • Provide management information
  • Deputise for the Mortgage Supervisor and Mortgage Team to cover holidays and sickness

 

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • CeMap qualified
  • Experience of manually underwriting residential mortgages
  • Some leadership exposure

 

Please note this role is Monday – Friday (35 hours per week), with Saturday mornings on a rotational basis.
