Our client is one of the market leaders in flexible and personalised approaches to bridging loans and secured lending. They have an excited opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join their short-term lending team to provide assistance to the Underwriting team, supporting them with day to day processing of loans applications from application stage through to completion.
The Assistant Underwriter will work closely with the Underwriter and will provide support by drafting exit and case summaries on all applications plus actively responding to third parties within 24 hours of receiving correspondence.
The role will also include administrative duties such as data entry, running ID and credit-based checks, printing and filing.
Tasks also include setting up new case files, taking payments from applicants, running new file checks and booking in valuations. Assisting sales team with new business enquiries and producing lending decision illustrations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to progress within the property finance industry and has a keen interest. Previous experience of working in the mortgage industry would be advantageous.
