Our client is a privately funded, short term lending specialist (bridging loans and development finance), with an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

They are a smaller organisation; however, they are currently outperforming larger, more well-known names in the industry and are extremely profitable.

As their BDM you will provide support to the Business Development Director by regularly liaising with brokers, property developers and other professional introducers. This is a field based role, with potential to be UK wide, however initially the patch will focus more around the Manchester, Leeds, Cheshire and surrounding.

This will include (but not be limited to):

  • Manage new loan enquiries by assessing the information provided, collate relevant supporting information and revert to the broker/introducer with your findings.
  • Follow up existing loan enquiries by contacting the broker/introducer for additional information and updates.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate client records.
  • Develop your own network of brokers/introducers.
  • Work closely with the Head of Underwriting to ensure all departments are working in unison and stay on message.
  • Communicating new product details / amendments to mortgage intermediaries.
  • Keeping up to date with market trends and information.
  • Liaise with marketing to co-ordinate external events / meetings.

As this is a sales role, there will be annual targets to achieve and will also require external meetings with brokers/introducers and other key external stakeholders.

They are open to individuals who have specific, short term lending experience within the bridging and development finance sector, or alternatively, an experienced BDM (with mortgage/lending knowledge) who wants to broaden their skillset in this type of lending.

There is a bonus element to the role which would be annual and equally split between personal and company performance.
