This role will be covering the following locations; Enfield (EN), Harrow (HA), Twickenham (TW), Kingston on Thames (KT), Ilford (IG), Uxbridge (UB) and North London (N). There will be additional coverage for Central London also. Due to this, the successful candidate will live either in, or very close distance to any of the above postcodes. 

Our client, a successful and well-respected financial services organisation, are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to promote mortgage and related products and build relationships with intermediaries. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding company!

Main responsibilities will include: -

  • Maintain and develop business relationships with existing intermediaries, mortgage brokers and Packagers across the defined geographical area (to be notified), in order to increase both the quantity and quality of enquiries and applications referred to the society.
  • Build a network of new intermediaries, mortgage brokers and Packagers within the defined geographical area to ensure that they are introducing a significant flow of applications on a monthly basis.
  • Provide training, presentations and assistance to intermediaries, mortgage brokers and Packagers as required to ensure that our products and processes are well understood, utilising their industry experience and contacts. The primary objective is to ensure applications are properly completed and packaged for ease of throughput via our underwriting team.
  • Work closely with the Intermediary desk (New Business Team), Compliance and Loans Underwriting teams to ensure that specific cases are handled smoothly through the application process.
  • Represent the Society at any relevant industry events in order to promote the Society and its products, including exhibitions, seminars, awards ceremonies as required.
  • Organise regular face to face meetings with new and existing intermediaries, mortgage brokers and Packagers within the geographical area, which will evolve over time.

The successful candidate will have previous business development experience within the mortgage sector. You will have up to date knowledge of mortgage products and have previously built and created new relationships with intermediaries/brokers.

Due to the nature of the role, you will have a full driving licence and be willing to travel, with potential overnight stay.

A CeMap qualification would desirable.
