Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst
As the Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for the development and support of business intelligence solutions for a fast moving financial services organisation. You pride yourself on effective communication and organisational skills to elicit data requirements and act as the Business Intelligence expert. You will have the ability to work pragmatically with key internal stakeholders, collaborating and influencing to ensure the best outcome. You must have strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with the ability to develop trusted and validated reports intended for various audiences, from Board to Business Support.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
- Highly IT/ Analytical literate with 5+ years' experience as a Data Analyst/BI Analyst
- Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a related subject e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar discipline;
- Good understanding of the principles of data extraction and the use of data for management information, as well as data protection and information governance requirements
- Capable of maintaining Data Strategies supported by tailored initiatives.
- Skilled in developing managerial and tactical reports using modern BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Tibco. Alteryx, Lavastorm etc.
- Create visually engaging and interactive reports
- Proficient in scripting in SQL Languages particularly Oracle and/or T-SQL
- Planning, developing and maintaining data warehouses and ETL solutions
- Skilled in data prepping and data workflows including integration and data mapping
Advantageous
- Experienced working in financial services
- HTML/CSS/UNIX and any other development software to enhance end user reports
- Data Science experience and/or interest
- Have been trained in frameworks such as Six Sigma, ITIL, Prince2
