Our client, a successful and well-respected local financial services organisation who pride themselves on being highly customer and community focused, are currently recruiting for a Chief Cashier to manage a busy high street branch.
As the Chief Cashier you will be required to provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to all customers and manage / team lead a team of 4 cashiers.
The ideal candidate will be professional, self-motivated with a “can do” attitude. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a retail banking operation without the sales target focus.
Hours of work will be Monday – Friday 08:45 – 17:15 and every other Saturday 08:45 – 12:15 (which you will get back in lieu days)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Savings to achieve the objectives set for the Branch
- Responsible for the Customer Advisors, ensuring all training is up to date and all procedures are followed accurately and promptly
- Operate one or more till positions as and when required
- Supply information on the products and services of the business and its partners
- Encourage Members and customers to use the full range of services and products for the benefit of both themselves and the business
- Undertake all administrative or clerical duties to ensure the efficient operation of the branch
Skills & Experiences Required
- Experience of working in a customer service environment within a retail branch banking operation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to manage a team
- Experience of Microsoft packages including word & excel
- 5 GCSE at Grade C or above including Maths and English or equivalent
