This role is based both in Staines and London Bridge.
Our client is a relatively new and growing specialist mortgage lender who are looking to ‘challenge the norm’ and create a fresh way of working as well as fresh and innovative mortgage products.
They have and exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their team, who will be responsible for a variety of tasks to generate value for them, helping to guide the business through its commercial landscape via the Product Development roadmap, identifying new market opportunities or trends and determine the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer/client satisfaction.
Main duties will include: -
- Drive and propose commercial initiatives to promote growth/forward trajectory, generating revenue and sustainable growth.
- Deliver both forward looking and retrospective analytical insight into BGFL lending activities.
- Work closely with Capital Markets and Credit to understand potential commercial opportunities with funding partners or investors, e.g. originating to meet investor demand.
- Help the business understand the opportunities, segments, size and profitability within the markets that BGFL operates in (or may wish to operate), utilising research where appropriate.
- Develop frameworks to allow for consistent proposals (including comparisons/analytics/ segmentation/intermediary share of market), and broader analysis packs on the wider market (e.g. including prime, challenger banks, building societies, housebuilders etc).
The successful candidate will:
- Have knowledge and experience of working within mortgages/buy to let/savings.
- Analytical experience.
- Communicates in a constructive, friendly and positive manner that demonstrates respect and sets an example to all.
- Commercial awareness and experience with mortgages and similar products.
