We have a new Company Secretary opportunity within an award winning financial services provider based in South Buckinghamshire. Working at Board level and part of the Senior Management Team, they are a PRA / FCA regulated lender and you will be working in a relatively small environment with circa. 40 employees in the business. This will be a busy and varied role which will involve liaison with individuals at all levels throughout the business and externally in particular with the regulator.

Typical duties will include:
- The arrangement and conduct of all Board, Committee, Annual General and Special Meetings including logistics, agendas, Board Pack preparation and distribution and minute taking
- Preparation of the Annual Report and Business Review and the maintenance of the Memorandum and Rules of the business
- Liaison with the External Auditors with regards to the Annual Report
- Regular review, updates and control of Board Manual
- Managing the main insurance policies and dealing with claims as they arise
- Ensuring the lender is licenced for activity governed by the Consumer Credit Act.
Skills, Qualification, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Company Secretarial experience / Chartered Secretarial qualification
- Corporate Governance knowledge and experience
- General financial services industry knowledge and experience would be advantageous, otherwise exposure to a highly regulated environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A can-do attitude and active team player prepared to go “the extra mile”
