Our client, a well-known local financial services organisation based in Mansfield are looking for a Compliance Support Officer to join their team. This is an office based role where your responsibilities will include reporting on 2nd line Compliance monitoring activity and Monitoring Reviews and assisting in the interpretation of regulation/legislation to provide advice, support and guidance to the Compliance team and to the wider business.

Main Tasks of the role will include:

 

  • To carry out, evidence and report on 2nd line Compliance monitoring activity and Monitoring Reviews, to ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and procedural requirements.
  • To assist with the interpretation of regulation / legislation in order to provide advice, support and guidance (as appropriate) to the Compliance team and to the wider business.
  • To assist with the development of plans, policies, procedures and systems to ensure the department achieves its objectives in relation to regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • To check financial promotions, marketing and non-marketing literature, mortgage products, Illustrations and APRCs to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • To ensure that regulatory requirements in respect of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Countering Terrorist Financing are complied with.
  • To ensure documentation relating to departmental systems, policies, processes and procedures is up to date at all times.
  • To prepare Management Information (MI), internal and external reports as required.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role, for example, 1st line quality assurance, 2nd line oversight or internal audit.
  • Previous experience of working within a Financial Services environment.
  • Ability to interpret and implement regulation / legislation.
  • Self-starter / problem solver with the ability to work using own initiative.
  • Ability to see the ‘bigger picture’.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the business and liaise with staff at all levels across the business.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

 

This is a full time permanent role with core hours being Mon-Fri, 35 hrs per week. Additional benefits include 22 days Holiday (plus Bank Holidays), Healthcare Plan, Pension (5% matched) and an Annual Bonus Scheme.
