The key responsibilities of the role are to provide timely, accurate and relevant financial information to the Society’s Board, Regulators and other internal customers and to ensure that the a strong control environment is maintained.
Some of the tasks will involve:
- Providing Management Information for month end reporting.
- Interpreting and analysing regulatory reporting
- Producing returns for the PRA and Bank of England.
- Supporting the business system ALMIS.
- Being a member of the Regulatory Reporting committee.
- Providing support for audits in order to maintain a strong control environment.
- Keeping up to date with all PRA requirements, accounting standards and BSA guidelines.
- Providing leadership and support to a direct report.
- Providing cover and support to the Finance Manager – Operations as required.
The essential criteria for the role are:
- Fully or almost qualified in Accountancy, ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Able to work to deadlines and work under pressure.
- A high level of attention to detail and precision.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Able to interpret data and regulation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Conscientious, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Approachable and supportive with a positive attitude.
The desirable criteria for the role are:
- Previous management experience.
- Previous experience within the financial services industry.
This is a full time role, working 9am- 5pm, Monday to Friday
Starting salary is £40,000 rising to £45,000 once fully competent in all aspects of the role.
