This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional, to be responsible for the delivery of the financial planning, financial control, reporting and regulatory obligations of the organisation. The Head of Finance provides leadership across the finance function, helping ensure the organisation remains financial resilient, well controlled and positions to achieve its long-term strategic objectives.
Duties will include:
- Lead the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including the annual Corporate Plan, periodic reforecasts and longer-term strategic projections, ensuring delivery in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Own and develop the financial modelling capability, including profitability, capital, liquidity, margin, growth and cost projections, utilising ALMIS and associated planning tools.
- Lead the production of scenario analysis, stress testing and sensitivity assessments to support Executive and Board decision-making.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, opportunities and recommended management actions.
- Support the Finance Director in the leadership and development of the Finance function, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and commercial awareness.
- Lead the month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring the timely production of accurate management accounts, statutory accounts and supporting financial analysis.
- Provide senior Finance oversight of treasury, capital, liquidity and balance sheet reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, understood and appropriately challenged
The successful individual will possess:
- Be a qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
- Strong understanding of financial performance drivers, including margin, capital, liquidity, cost base and profitability.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop others and create resilience across the Finance function.
- Experience working in financial services.
